Experience key moments of the Peaceful Revolution virtually
The app MauAR lets you experience the Berlin Wall on the smartphone or tablet using augmented reality technology! Several interactive stories tell about life with the wall in East and West.
Five new episodes were exclusively developed for the festival week which retell key moments of the Peaceful Revolution at the original sites.
How it works:
1 – Visit the original sites
You can find the special episodes at the Gethsemane Church, Alexanderplatz, the Brandenburg Gate, at Kurfürstendamm and in the former Stasi Headquarters.
2 – Download the app MauAR or borrow a tablet free of charge at the information points
You can borrow a tablet free of charge at all five original sites to watch the MauAR episode. You can also download the app on your own smartphone or tablet.
3 – Go to the experience site
There is a specific spot at all original sites, where you can start the episode. The app guides you directly to this spot. Additionally, the promoters at the sites would be glad to help you.
4 – Start episode and experience history virtually
Start the episode of each site and let the narrator guide you through the history of the Peaceful Revolution.
