ENGERLING: As a blues band, the group led by the pianist and songwriter Wolfram Bodag was regarded by the cultural bureaucrats of the GDR as too far removed from the ideal of songlike rock “as an autonomous GDR contribution to international music culture”. The public loved them.

SHIR-RAN YINON: From classical music to rock, folk and metal – Shir-Ran Yinon is a multi-faceted musician. As a performer on violin and viola as well as a composer and arranger, she keeps exploring musical boundaries.
